My stock seats are really comfy, but as they are bench seats, provide no lateral support. Also, they are only 41K miles old and have been taken care of so I'd like to keep them that way. I plan on removing them, wrapping them in plastic and storing them and putting a decent set of seats in their place. I AM on a budget, trying to spend 4 bills or less on a set of reclining seats with sliders. I can fabricate the mounting bracket, so I'm not concerned with that.
What I'm looking for is good lateral support, and I'm not a big guy, only 5'8" and 185 lbs, and comfortable enough to take a 3 hour trip in the car for $400 a set or less. I'd also like them to be relatively easy to get in and out of, especially the passenger side, so the Mrs doesn't throw a fit.
What are you using and why? Pros and cons of the seat you've chosen would be great.
