    1. just plain john
I've seen some of your posts, starting way back when I was visiting the hybrids section. I've also seen some current ones, and putting 2 and 2 together, did you break your motor? It seems you're doing a hot air conversion to replace your original engine, and I saw where you ran a best e.t. of 12.10 (I think). Another thread says the brakes were too tight. Did you find subsequent damage after those passes? I don't mean to pry, I'm just curious and trying to learn all I can. I admire your determinedness. I too am shooting for 11.5 one day.

talk about taking for ever to reply, Sorry dude i just never looked at this page until today.
The day i ran 12.10 i found that my rear brakes were too tight. i have no idea how it happened, i adjusted them and no problems since ??????
After that clowning with my cousin on the street i for got to prime the alky after 4 days of sitting and blew the motor up on a 25 PSI pull with NO alky.

i had a spare motor (1984) that i was planning on using for the rebuild with the 86-87 components. But i went away from this and just purchased a block and built that instead.
as you probably already know my new current best is 11.74 on the new build.
