the original post was looking for others in the mid 8's in the 1/8 to share their traps for comparison purposes

it looks like we are getting into mid 8's in the 1/4 now:biggrin:

    while my GN ran a 8.417 1/8 @ 79.23 mph with a 1.78 60ft

My buddy's GN used to run 8 Flat @88mph on street tires air down to about 20-22 psi. Running stock motor with alky and 25lbs boost, te52 turbo. His tires would have smoke rolling from them for the entire 60 ft. :D

Is the high speed (for the ET) because of the crappy 60 ft?

No.. It's because of the power he's making.. With a decent 60 ft it should be high 7s maybe 7.8

    way back in the day.........

I would run 21-22 psi with a dutt neck and a te-34 turbo and BGC down pipe with shitty flowmaster stock location exhaust..

    1.81 60ft 8.14 1/8 @ 84.5

    1.85 60ft 8.22 1/8 @ 83.8

I use to run only street tires back then. my personal best 60.ft or street radials was 1.78 on firestone firehawks..

Those were the days.........of not breaking shit!

Patrick, what are you using for fuel now? I havent tuned mine yet since the rebuild but am looking at C16 for now and maybe going e85. Curious to see what mine will do on race fuel and tuned with a good 60'.

I'm curently using a mix of 93/110 as i have not really leaned on the boost yet! i have not went over 21 psi. I'm still fighting the rear suspension i i added a week before the TB.com nats. this past weekend i ran a best of 6.81 @ 103.8 with a shitty 1.65 60 ft. the boost was 21 psi.

Like charlie mention i'll be looking for the mushroom cloud too............ cause i don't think they make a unobtanium octane yet............:p

Unobtanium is on order already....if the dreaded mushroom cloud happens again I will be down for who knows how long. The wife will be firing rounds at me. Getting the XFI upgraded and connecting a boost solenoid and will likely just run 18-19lbs till I get it dialed in. I havent even driven it since I got back from the Nats.
