Installed a 650 double pumper on the car solved the carb issues. Iwould highly recomend it the car is way more responsive off the line and alot more powerful when the secodarys are open in short it spools faster. Iam installing anew front cover with the earl brown cover mods and a high volume oil pump today will post the results of the timing cover later this week Mike mcvaney

Did you do the boost modifications to the carb or just put it on?

    holley carb

Yes both power valves were reworked and hooked into turbo inlet bell. The car never had so much bottom end power no comparison to the quadrajet. would highly recomend this to all non computer cars. should have the timing cover on tomorrow talk toyou later Mike.

Is there always a vacuum at the inlet of turbo on a drawthru even in boost?

Vac will be before the turbo and after the carb Adam. that's the way it works.

I agree with A.J. throw the quadrajet away and bolt on some real per formance. Having a better accelerator pump system really helps off the line. Not to mention the easy access to new parts . Mike

Partially true Mike. the Q-jet is much easier to work on, you just have to know how. Get the book by Doug Roe and it should give you a Better idea. There's a newer version but I don't have it yet.

    LMAO....

you know, if it wasnt for you Charlie.... i might have given up on my quest for 10s with drawthru after the setbacks i have had and experianced. I had actualy gathered all of the parts to make the SFI swap way back about 6 months after I scored all of Adams turbo stuff like circa Oct 2008?

then here comes "captain imma gonna make 10s with a crazy 301 turbo contraption", and it was draw-thru....

"AWW HELL NAW!" is what i heard in my head.... and it was on. I dug up those rotomaster adapters and said, lets try again. and on I continued.
Your motivation keeps mine up. Especially after that divorce I had, I still have most of my stage2 stuff hidden away so the divorce court cant find em.

So definitly.......... if we ever meet, there will be more than a beer drank! better bring the bar.... im quite the alky. J/k

    Same goes for you Adam........

    B4B is definitly my home.

whew.... way too much sun today.......

AWWWWWWWWW! I feel warm and fuzzy Aj. LOL I'll make the two of you a deal. If you'll find a track fairly equal distance between the three of us Aj, maybe we can all meet up for some fun. Since you've got the faster puter available and a little more time during the day to do it I'll leave it to you. We might even make a B4B event since it should be fairly close to the center of the country. Tell me what you guys think? Maybe the week after Noble next year sounds good.

Sorry about the hijack Mike but this happens sometimes when the three of get together.

Since you're a senior you should be out in the next year, right. If this works out you might be able to make it.
