Did you happen to measure the overall height of the intake yet? Been looking at a holley hi-ram just dont know if it will clear the hood!

Looks like 10 1/4 inches to the top of the highest point at the throttle body.

Yes it is all 3". The headers have 3" collectors. I've seen were some say 2.5" is best and 3" might make it a slug. I guess we will find out.

Is that from the valley plate? How much clearance under the hood do you have i think the holley is about 12 1/2" tall which might be a push!

I know there isn't 2" of clearance. I will try to get you an estimate when I work on it next which will probably be monday

If the 3" is slow to spool, you can always hit it with a menage a trois of oxygen and nitrogen...;)

With my big engine and little turbo and 2.5 crossover, mine will spool pretty quick but I'm putting nitrous on it anyway. :D

Brad's car (bmf racing) spools instantly with his 88 and stock 6.0. Not sure what size crossover. I'm sure he will respond.

Injured my arm a bit, so I didn't get much done here lately. Hopefully I'm all healed up next week. Got my 66mm pte wastegate in though. This thing is a monster!

That's a bunch of cars. Looks like all the cars mentioned have a progression from being quick stock block car to a lsx swap.

Here is how I plan on mounting the turbo. It will be mounted to the frame. It is very rigid mounted in the vise.
I plan on welding and bolting it to the frame.

Got the turbo mocked up. I tack welded it to the frame with the angle iron. Even with just the tack welds, it is in there good. You can put both hands on the turbo and the car moves with the turbo. May do a couple supports but not much is needed.

That's very similar to where I mounted mine, mine's back a bit and further in towards the motor, but not by much. I was going to try to run a heater box but the dp was going to be a PITA so I bought a delete plate so the exhaust will have room. Are you going to run inner fenders and cut on them, or none at all? I am a little concerned about drag, so I'm going to chop mine.

    Lookin good!

PS I am going to brace mine with the head, but the frame idea should work fine with those solid mounts.
