big reason: No problem. Make sure you properly bleed your master cylinder if you are replacing it also bleeding the master cylinder itself makes a world of difference. Let us know how you like it once you get it done so that others will use this mod also.

After viewing the link that was provided concerning installing a bigger vacuum booster at: "http://www.montecarloss.com/community/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=757283#Post757283" I decided to install the bigger booster. Ever since I did the vacuum conversion on my car I have not been confident about the stopping power of the vacuum brakes. I could not lock the brakes even if I tried; sort of like the PM with a bad accumulator but not as bad!!!

Well today I installed a vacuum booster from a 1990 Chevy Caprice and it was a simple bolt in. Took about a half an hour for the swap. The original dual diaphram booster is about 8 inches across and the booster from the Caprice is about 10 inches across. All I can say is I can now lock the brakes without even trying; night and day stopping power!!! Here are some before and after pictures.[IMG]

    big reason,

That's great if your brakes works to your satisfaction but I've seen others who weren't satisfied with their vacuum brake conversion like me. I posted this for the other unsatisfied people whose vacuum brake conversions were not performing up to par and this information might be their ticket to resolving their issue as it did mine.
