Keep it Drag? Or back to the street?

    Takes alot to maintain a car like that, forget the driving knowledge and experience to drive a car that fast takes. Way, way out of our ablities at this point. Either sell it or find a mentor or drivng school that will show you how to drive it and get your license to drive it down the track. Your going to need a top notch Buick specialist to maintain it. Personally I think you should sell it and buy a 11 second street car to learn on.

    I found out it has been garaged for 4 years but just had a race mechanic out 8 months ago. He changed all the fluids and started her up I don't have too many details but I know it's running

    I would trade my 10 second show car for that in a quickness....love it! Gotta keep it a track car if you keep it. But it is a lot of car to run and maintain....even a 10 second ride is enough to keep ya busy.

    His Uncle's name was John Corrado who owned USA Parts now out of buisness. The car was piloted from another driver at times. I talked to Prasad (wikedv6) on the board, and he is going to try and steer him in the path that Eiden wants to go. I am willing to help in any way I can to maybe transport this car from owner operators I know to get to his destination in a month or so when he has the time off from . We Googled the name and have recieved tons of hits. This car is on the East coast, and needs to hauled to Colrado.

    Don't say that I may take you up on it lol. His name is John Corrado. I think he had a driver though. No idea his name. John owned USA parts.

    Have it tuned WAY DOWN and learn or even swap out the drive train for a much slower set up and again learn.

    if you live in Md all you need is insurance and a title to get historic tags, no inspection or any other B.S. trailer it to shows or meets and drive it around when you get there. I would love to see it driving around in Ocean City during cruise week. lol

    This is definitely a car needing to be kept full race. Looking at the pics there doesn't seem to be any charging system and I'm sure isn't a pleasant ride to want to cruise around in besides a very local meet. I'm sure there could be some tuning down to get it a little more manageable.....but high 4's even low 5's will leave even the speed demons a little tweaked after a run. I would say if you aren't into drag racing that much and are thinking about tring to make this street friendly, you might want to weigh out all options. I would hate to see this car detained drastically or even combo changed around....it's a car that was purpose built and obviously got it done...definitely would love to here a vid of it running....

    Ethan, and I thank you for all your input, and thanks guys. Spoke to him a billion times to get a an idea of what he wants to do, and all . This car will be up for sale, and then he wants a nice unmolested GN 87 prefered! Will keep you informed!

    No doubt the car is impressive but I believe he's made a good choice to sell it. He can find a really nice street GN and have much more fun with it.

    yea man i would sell it. im still a noob myself and GNs are my dream car also they are alot of fun to ride around on the street. all the looks and lauging at the tuners as i blow by them even with all the money there parents gave them to put in the cars. lol
    i have a 86 gn for a daily and a 87 gn t-top for the weekends and riding around.
    the 87 is a monster close to 15Gs in the drivtrain and i can still drive it on the street fine( at low boost ) just has drag suppension in the rear so i bounce alot. :)
    but still if it was any were close to yours it would be drag only. its fun to put balls to the wall, i do it with the 87 at times at the track but not as fun as being able to drive the car home or just around when u not at the track also. you dont get to enjoy it for what it was originally anymore if its just a track car.

    Well guys pretty soon Ethan, and his family are going to go get the car July 16th, and he has a company bringing the car all the way across the states. So let's all wish him luck with adventure, and keep everything in our prayers. Before you guys know it will be on the market. Ethan, you can always call me 24/7 bro. Can some one on the west coast help him in Colorado, as far as looking over the car, to get us input on trans, spline axles, and etc. thanks
