    From the V8 Board!
We have finally pinned down a date for the X Bash. Do to complication with Temple we have decided it would be in the best intrest to move the race to a track that is more in tune with the needs of our Group. I feel we have found it. Cherokee county motorsports park in Rusk, TX.

The Race Will be Held on September 23rd 2006.

More information will follow on cost to race and hotels/accommodations

    I'm planning on going.

Does the car have to have current tags and inspection to run in this race?

The track gives out trophies to anyone. The Buicks have payouts for the top 3 Buicks.
    1st $250.00
    2nd $150.00
    3rd $100.00

    It is a 1/4 track.
The Buicks will be allowed in at 12Noon.
Frank will bring the BBQ pit. The food you want Frank to cook is up to you. It's bring your own food.

I'm not sure what is in Rusk? There are 3 Motels posted on the tracks website, 1 in Rusk and 2 in Jacksonville.

I'll get with Phil. Stay tuned.

This is from the LSPBC email list.

I'm trying to get a party/get together started at my place on Lake
Palestine after the races, and for the next day if anyone is
interested. Trying to talk Frank Brooks into bringing his cooker out
    to the house too.

My house is about 40 miles from the track and I am offering my extra
bedroom, couch, and floors to the first lucky people that get there.
Otherwise there is plenty of area to pitch tents, park cars, etc. I
think Rick and Erin might have already called for the extra bedroom,
but everyone can fight it out amongst themselves. : )

If anyone has a boat, the ramp is right by the house. The lake isn't
as low as a lot of the lakes in this area.

Let me know what everyone thinks.
