I sent him$50 and have never talked to him or even seen him before this thead.I didnt do it to try to win stuff i did it because i hope if it ever happens to me i know there is help out there. One act of random kindness can make you and the person ur helping feel good about life.

There has been quite a few people on this board that i have helped out with parts that i had just sitting on my shelf and give it to them and just for them to pay shipping.

I dont have alot of money but i get by with what i have. I just cant belive there is over 1500 views and only about 25 people have donated. If every one donated a dollar that would have been over $1500.pretty sad.

    Just my. 02

It is tough times for many of us, but as said, even a buck is helpful. I am sure that many of the views are repeats checking for updates. I have not been on the board for a while, as I have been busy rebuilding my BB car from a small accident I had. It is tough to have such a loss lie this. I hope all goes well with the recovery.

A small donation made from me.

I also have never met or talked to Scott. It is just good Karma to help out as you never know when you may be in need. It doesn't take a group of our size much to make a difference. If all that had come into this thread would have donated just $5.00 it would have made a huge impact, $10.00 each would have been incredible.

I vote to leave this open til at least the end of Jan.

    Mods?

Extending it to the end of January is fine with me. BUT, think the title of the thread needs to be changed and maybe not stay as a "STICKY"? Maybe title needs to be changed also. How about "Make a Paypal donation to help a member, WIN a prize!" First post should have all the details about what happened with Scott, the details of where to send the donation and the list of vendors involved and what prizes will be given away. Without these changes I don't see many more people getting involved. Up to the management or we can just pick the winners and be done with it. Got to figure with all those views, a lot of people already know about it so maybe this concept just doesn't work.

I understand your thoughts Mark, they are very valid. I would also like to add to the ability to get people to help out, however it works best. I have never met Scott, but having been in a accident myself recently - I understand the feeling he has right now. I was fortunate that I had insurance to cover my loss and I have friends helping me put my car back together. Not knowing what Scott may have, I do not care - as anything can help I am sure of that.

There has been many to view this thread, and many to want to help - I am sure.

People, please realize what was said earlier. It is tough time for all of us, even a buck will help. Or $5 or $10 if you are fortunate to be able to help that much. You don't have to be a superhero with fifty or a hundred bucks! I know we all have good intentions and desires, I think the hardest part is making the steps to actually do it.

Best of wishes to Scott !

Gosh, don't get over here often, and just found out about Scott's crash. Bought my 8.5 from Scott years ago. Donation on the way!

Just a thought- an idea we've been kicking around on the Elky forum. Think about a "Garage Sale", with the value of the parts sold going to Scott. Everybody has parts lying around- Post something up for sale, and use the PayPal for Scott for the payment. You get your garage cleaned out, another person gets a part they can use, and Scott get's the benefit.

I wanted to take the opportunity to sincerely thank the members who organized and contributed to me. As most of you can clearly see, my car was a total loss, however I do intend to salvage the engine and transmission for a future project. The generous donations from the TB.com community will go directly towards that project.

I feel like I’ve “been there done that” with an all out street brawler. So, my next project will most likely be a more civilized car that my whole family can enjoy (my wife was scared of my T) Right now I’m leaning towards a classic muscle car, with my engine (probably detuned to around 600-700 HP) and the A/C and power steering will go back on. My vision is a mild Pro Touring style car. This project will more than likely take years to finish as time and money allow.

I’m just grateful that I have my health, my family, and you my friends to help on the road to recovery and into the next phase of my life.

Thanks again to these special tb.com members and the entire community

One more day guys, we at TR Custom Parts will be giving away one of our console risers to the lucky winner. Two other vendors are participating as well. Odds are really good that you will something. Good luck to Scott with whatever project he pursues. Will have SGRIM announce the winners on Wednesday.
