I recently finished my T-Type build with a mild 4.1, head porting, 204/214 cam, 50LB inj.,3" downpipe. If the MAF has the smallest diameter in the intake stream is the stock air cleaner really a limit at say 17-20 PSI? I am looking at the oval opening at the front of the air cleaner that goes to the plastic air duct at the rad support and if this was round it would be 3" in diameter. Don't see how this will affect air flow potential.

The stock air induction has been almost unbelievably quick. A2000rich has posted a lot in the past about the stock air box and mafs. If you aren't well into the 11's you arent at it's limit. I remember the stock AC paper filter flowing more air than any other tested element in the stock air box.

If you are concerned about the inlet being a restriction, you can stretch the opening quite a bit and still get the snorkel to fit on it.
