Can some1 tell me what the normal operating temp is for an 86 gn. Just purchased and it's around 190 to 200 and after it spools almost 210? Making me nervous it's my first turbo car. It had a custom grind cam, exhaust an some other mods.

The low speed fan should be running at those temp.s. make sure it is.

You may need to verify a 160 thermostat is in the car.

That's probably normal for a front mount intercooler with no upgraded cooling system fans.

Your car is not a normal '86 now that the motor has been opened and not how Buick built it.

Stock was a 185 thermostat most use a 160 stat.

You're a bit higher than most like to be around. Your system could probably use a good flush/cleaning too.
