WOW! Congrats to everybody involved! Dick and all that have been involved in that car deserve it! Great bunch of guys! GOOD JOB!
62 degrees makes sense. I feel like there should be a celebration party. This is important history here. I'd drive to Arizona for it.
Nick is right about the track, it's still pretty green. I was there today & saw the passes. To put it mildly, I'm very impressed with not only the car but Cal's driving also. The record pass wasn't a straight one, so I thought for sure Cal was going to lift, but to his credit he kept it on the floor & in between the lines. So yet again, congrats to everyone involved with the record.
it was a great job of driving! i would say cal has balls made of brass!(i'll check with holly!) congrads to dick and julie. jame's and cal. jame's works very hard to help dick make this happen! he's one of the nicest guy's i know. he works a full time job and worked his butt off this week to get the car together. good job jame's!
Just think, in 20 years the slip will be worth as much as a car. It's not like anyone's going 7's with a stock block in our lifetime....
1st 8 sec. "109" !!! Congrats Dick and Julie. Your performance ... the 1st 8'sec 109 run is TRUELY outstanding! "Yawl" have definitely been committed to carrying the TSO performance banner. Again CONGRATULATIONS. You deserve it. See yawl in BG in 2007 in the Big Gun Shootout. Merry Christmas to all. Lawrence, Janace & Chris Conley
Great job TEAM KERNEY... MAJOR PROPS TO Dick-Julie and TEAM. History has been made with your "109" mini stage In the record books For-ever ! Your teams hard work has paid off and then some. Congratulations !
Every once in a while you meet a guy who exlempifies the much used phrase "Go Fast with Class" I had the pleasure on meeting Mr. Kerney and Mike Zimmerman at the Indy event and they were those guys. They welcomed us like we were old friends. I had some time to talk to Mike about engines and his ideas about building the 109 and was impresed with his ideas (maybe I should have taken notes  ) I told them about my own 109 project and Dick really lobbied to get me to let Mike build it. After talking to Mike I knew it would only be a matter of time before they really leaned on their combo and laid down a big number and while I had my own sight set on this record I whole heartily congratulate the whold Kerney team on this once in a lifetime record and impressive accomplishment. Now I guess I have to run 160 with mine  CONGRATULATIONS! Mike & Marianne Licht
WOW!!! Way to go guys! that's one hell of an accomplishment! Kinda makes me rethink wanting to sell that TSM shortblock
Absolutely Outstanding!!! A BIG "CONGRATULATIONS!" to all who participated in this record-shattering event! Jealous?..... Who's jealous?........I always look like this when I get envious!...lol:biggrin:
