Oh I wish I could get that gear ratio in my 12 bolt. You must really be winding that sucker.

No cam and compression specs. Darn! That's not nice. :p

I just reviewed the data log. They were lower than I told some people earlier today.

    4950 rpm launch
    6850 on the 1-2
    6850 on the 2-3
    7650 through the traps

FWIW: The O2 correction averaged 0.2% in 3rd and the EGT's were 1645-1680
The car was overgeared and started to go flat out the back. I would've loved to have a 29" tire.

    Absolutely AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats to ALL involved, as it takes a LOT of effort to accomplish one like this! Couldn't happen to a better guy & group either. But I think Julie deserves the BIG congrats though, 43 years !!!! WOW !!! Anyone that has met them can tell they have all been good years together too! Would give you all 3 thumbs up if I had them :) Ran into Cal at the PRI show in FL on Thurs, he said he had to fly out on Fri, but didn't say where or what. If I would have known, I would have hid in his suitcase! :)

Me & Dave England talked about the 8's on a stock block early last year, that it would be the next BIG milestone to hit. We saw people getting close, and figured with the right stuff & right conditions, it would be possible. Dave was thinking of going for it at the end of last season, but it didn't stay together. Hard to do with limited budget & time available. Just wasn't in the stars I guess :) Dave told me last night you guys pulled it off & I couldn't of been happier! Going to have to shoot for a different milestone now, maybe first 455 setup in the 8's on pump gas

Dick, let me know if I can help you get those 60's down in the 1.2's, so you can go for the 8.5 milestone too! Cal might have some "extra" HRparts "experimental" pieces to loan you, or some off Dave's car :D We have a few (BOP's & Chevy's) at your level with 1.2x 60ft times, and a lot in the 1.3's, even on drag radials. Knock .1 to .15 off there, it's good for .2 to .3 off the 1/4 mile ;)

And while you are already out west there, how about some 2 series rear gears & head out to Bonneville? Can you say 250 mph!

All fun aside, you can't say enough for all the effort that goes into putting it all together, tuning it, keeping it together, etc, etc. At those levels, if one little tiny thing is just a little tiny bit off, all you have is an awesome 1/8 mile number & a bunch of expensive pieces/parts all over the pavement. To run in the 8's & say it has more instead of needing fixed or got hurt makes it all even more impressive to me! Keep it up & enjoy it while you can! The Nat's & other events should be VERY interesting in '07 !
