The heat shield on my car had some oxidized brown spots, so i used a wire brush wheel to get a new finish. probably finish with buffing wheel. were the heat shields powder coated clear, or left as bare metal from the factory?
i had my turbo heat shield jet-hot coated....its been on the buick for the last 5 yrs and it still looks as the day i got it back from jet-hot...i also had the factory headers and cross-over done at the same time...... Vince
Same here...heat shield sent to Jet-Hot to have it coated with ceramic. Still looks brand new. Those folks at Jet-Hot couldn't have been more nice to me...and fast turnaround. Trust me, they know what they are doing. My shield looks the same as Vince's. Bruce '87 Grand National
