With the economy as bad as it is today, just curious what GN owners do for a living? Or how do you support your Buick (racing/show/accumulating parts) habits?

.

I don't think the economy is that bad, I am about 8k shy of last year. But that was due to a strike  I work for a airline (one that has made a profit for the last 5 years) I'm a Ground Operations Rep..loadmaster in short for passenger and cargo aircraft.

interesting topic

maintenance for the worlds largest gauge manufacturer.....and co-owner of The Full Circle Solutions Group llc. :) (this year has been pretty good ;))

Local 110 Projectionist. I did better this year than I did last year but three years ago I was affraid I was going to be working alot less and after Sept. 11th work came to a screaching halt for me.

Economy is great but I'm not seeing any of it:mad:
Certified Dental Technician here. Pay sucks except for the OT. The OT is mostly because of stupid scheduling by the secretary so I guess I owe her a thank you.

I sit behind a desk at 'the phone company'. It's great because everyone says I'm the absolute last guy they picture racing or even peering under the hood of a car.

We've quietly laid a bunch of people off in the past few weeks and I hear plan to do it again in early '07. Telecom is a tough business these days.

Crew Chief for NHRA Pro Stock team.......I'm trying to help the economy....we've spent more money in the last year than the previous 5 combined......
I was only able to get my GN because the price was low enough that I didn't have to take out a loan.

Auto Technician working for Toyota. Build performance transmissions at home to support the Buick habit and all the other cars I have.

Computer/Network support for my company Montblanc(they make those really expensive pens) been here 8yrs now, pretty easy gig but getting the itch to go back into construction/remodling.

Project Engineer for a PTO manufacturer. 2006 was stellar but 2007 is looking a bit slim due mostly to the stringent, new diesel emission rules the Feds require at the first of the year. Diesel trucks in all classes are now considerably more expensive and complicated. Fleet owners knew it was coming and spent more in 2006.

Small Business Owner. Outdoor power equipment. I sell and service a bunch of different commercial brand lawnmowers, chainsaws and crap. Business is good. Every year for the past eight years we have set records.

Police Detective. The arrangement with the wife is that I can only spend my overtime money on the car.
