I am replacing my tired(rusted) floor pan with a one piece unit from Classic to Current. For those having lived through the experience I was wondering if anyone was able to get new plugs for the rear passenger plugs holes or did you re-install the stock plugs from the original pan?

Im going to use the factory ones except I used the Sherman floor pan for the driver side because the inner rocker was rotted underneath and the Sherman floor comes with the inner rocker attached

thanks for taking the time to reply fellas. I was able to save both of mine today so I should be set. Another thanks to RUDE DOG for you posts detailing your pan replacement, helped me get my head around it and got my pan out today. This is yesterdays effort getting the front half out.

Your doing good man, it could seem a bit overwhelming at first glance, but once your into it. It can be difficult to stop working. Good luck with your car if you have any questions feel free to ask.

yes I would agree overwhelming is a good word however there have been several other adjectives used lately to describe the job, all of them shorter in length and easier to spell..couple more with floor out

Question Rude dog....have been thinking about coating the underside of the car/pan from the pan firewall lip back with linex truck bed liner(something professionally applied as opposed to brushed or rolled on) to protect it from the elements...as these products offer moisture protection as well as a physical barrier...curious what your thoughts are on such a product...and anyone else who has had an experience with it or even just an opinion....thx

new pan sitting in its new home....still lots of Massaging" left to do, but things moving in the right direction

When you get the floor welded in make sure to line up the reinforcement frame that goes across back on its original spot welded location, then massage also.

Pans looks good. I did the same thing last month and am in the process of installing new rear seat pans. Are you butt welding or overlapping and spot welding?
