My TURBO6 project

Is this your first time doing a frame off? By your pics you made it look easy, even tho I am sure that it wasn't. You are doing great!!! Where did you get the tall jacks to lift the body off and those super tall jack stands?

Coming along nicely. Take lots of pics of where stuff goes. You'll be glad you did later.;)

Thanks for taking the time to post this restoration.

Homemade body roller lol. Looks like I gotta go get better wheels. These were given to me. I wonder why

The welds on the dolly look better than some of the welds on the frame or the car.:)

Looking good.

Yeah I'm not much of a welder lol. I figured I start on the roller and get use too the welder setting before I started on the frame

Looks good. Don't make the welds on the frame too nice or you may loose value in the car for not looking "original".:p

So what do you guys think would be the max I should notch out? Should I leave like an inch? Cut to the towers starts?

I notched mine back to where the 2 pieces of frame meet. I plan on running 275 drag radials which fit with an uncut frame, but it's really tight with stock wheels.
Before you make your cuts, make sure you weld a temporary piece of angle somewhere behind the wheel arches. The frame will spring if you don't.

I plan on doing the inner frame reinforcements first.

Have any pics of this complete? How far back did you go? And did you have to add any additional braces or gussets?
