I hear you on the RTV, but just a question why it would cause problems?
I have never run into a problem with RTV before and it was recommended
to me to use it on this problem by a very knowledgeable old time mechanic
who has done a lot of work for me in the past.
Thanks for the input guys! I talked with TA and I checked bolt length before installation per the instructions.
I didn't torque the bolts because I only have 1/2" torque wrench and in the car, there is not room to swing it,
so it is off to buy a 1/4" one and check the flateness of the mating...
Yes, I agree with that, but the plates are the same and did not leak before. It is not leaking at the booster plate, so what changed?
I am still puzzled? Thanks for the reply. I appreciate the input though!
I have installed a couple of oil pumps w/no leaks. I put on a High volume TA oil pump and a booster plate and now
oil is pouring out from between the plates on the oil pump! Did I maybe use the wrong gasket in the wrong place?
Or not torque the bolts ? Got any thoughts on this issue?

I put the S 10 blazer front brakes and the S 10 rear brake cylinders on my 2 HA cars
years ago. I love the better braking! Never any brake lock up problems. If you do the calculations,
it appears to me the results of the changes pretty much balances out, but I am NO expert.
Just my $.02 worth!
Both my T's always ran hot. Champion radiators, 160 T-stats, water wetter, electric 87 fans, etc
I think I have tried everything! New rebuilt engine in the 84 still runs hot! So it is not blown head gaskets!
Joe says that he wants the door skins and hood pad. Yes, it has the logo printed same as my other cars.
Of course it looks new and mine don't but... If Joe doesn't come through, you are next.
Thanks.

I did not try that. I went to the 86 TB & cable. I had the Thermostat tube TIG welded up to clear the
alternator bracket. I guess a brazed joint would work, it just isn't quite as strong as the welded tube.
Either the HA IAC or the IC 86/87 IAC will work IF you use the same year housing. There is just enough dimensional difference
to cause it not to work if you mix up the IAC housing. The actual valve will actually assemble into either housing it just won't
work right. This change is the single...
Well, doesn't look like I will get a time slip this year! Did not get her out of the garage
soon enough and with the hot weather - well, I am chicken to drive it to BG. I fund just today
that the IAC was frozen, probably from 3 years sitting and it was causing it to run terrible.
Went to NAPA...
Put an 86/87 intake on it with a modified upper plenum and a TA 49 turbo with
a bigger down pipe from GBodyParts.com and play with that for awhile.
The 2 big $ parts are the turbo and the D/P, but still less than probably $1500
total. Just IMHO
