    Walker Catalytic Converter

For Sale: A Walker high-flow catalytic converter for a 86-87 Buick Turbo Grand National or Regal T-Type. Catalytic converter is nearly new. Was only on car for pipe fitting and testing a new exhaust, no actual street time. Slip-fit side of the neck was shortened by 1 inch, but would not...

    Pypes Exhaust Kit--Need a Friend

Hey everyone. So I'm looking to purchase a Pypes exhaust kit, SGG50R, and live in Canada. No one around here deals with the brand. One company does, but charges a ridiculous amount to bring it in. It is cheaper to order the kit from the States, but that still is super expensive due to...

    Intake inferance

What's a better intake to run on a street motor with an edelbrock 500cfm carb: the STOCK 4.1 aluminum, or the edelbrock performer?

The Edelbrock Buick V6 Performer Cam Thread to end all

Thanks about the advice. So a different brand would be better then eh? I'll have to keep an eye out. I just thought the Edelbrock had decent specs. So what IS the max lift people have used WITHOUT altering the valve guides?

The Edelbrock Buick V6 Performer Cam Thread to end all

Enough beating around the bush. I've heard many different answers to this question by looking a past threads and still have not come up with a concrete answer. DO THE VALVE GUIDES NEED TO BE ALTERED WHEN INSTALLING AN EDELBROCK PERFORMER CAMSHAFT ON A NA BUICK V6? Two sides to this story...

    Looking for some parts opinions

I've been hearing good things about the Pypes system. No offence to anyone, but I'm not a fan of how the Flowmasters sound. To each their own I guess. Back to carb talk, on Edelbrock's website they say their 500cfm 4bbl is non-egr. I thought that the carb had nothing to do with EGR, so...

    Looking for some parts opinions

Also, am I going to have hood clearence problems? The 4.1 intake is low rise. add .850" becasue of the adapter, the edelbrock carb, and a factory 4bbl air cleaner.

    Looking for some parts opinions

So after much thinking, I'm going with the stock 4.1 intake (which I still have to find) and an Edelbrock 500cfm (Thanks for the suggestion Dr. Frank) with the Edelbrock adapter so the carb will work on the manifold. Is anyone running with this combo? If so, how do you like it? Also, is...

    Looking for some parts opinions

OK. So lets discuss this now. Let's say I'm going with the factory 4.1 intake and a M4MC/E quadrajet. How do I solve the problem of the front mounted fuel inlet? The E4ME equipt 4.1 motors had a side-mount fuel inlet. The front mounted ones cause problems with the thermostat housing. How...

What is special about the GN 8445 heads? Will they fit on a '79 block? Why are they and improvement over stock? Sorry, I'm not too knowledgable about heads yet.

I live in Calgary. We have pretty crappy junkyards around here.

I thought that all non-computer controlled quadrajets were either 750 or 800 cfm. And if I get one off of a 1970 and earlier car, woudn't it not work properly with my emissions equipment?

Thanks for that link Charlie. I'd need one that isn't computer controlled. It's going on a '79 Cutlass. Hey Dr. Frank. Let me know if you find a nice one for me.
