Gentlemen, I have an opportunity to pick up a T63 turbo for $200. Is this unit a direct bolt on to replace the stock unit? I suspect it'll need rebuilding at some point, which I'd do before installing...... Thoughts?

Okay, it's finally mostly complete... As mentioned, it's a VERY tight fit. Wiring harnesses can be grabbed and pulled back if you drop the glove box and reach in behind. Otherwise, the mess of wires will make the radio not slide in all the way. I forgot to hook to hook up the power antenna...

I bought one (and quite a few other parts which equalled 3 boxes) from highway stars a few weeks back.... from the time of order to shipping, it was 9 days. When I enquirer why it's taking so long to ship, she said that all items have to be inspected and because I'm in Canada, it prolongs that...

I'm the same..........tight fit.........but the problem I have is that there's about an inch on either side that needs to be covered...... so that's where the install kit comes into play.... What kit, is a mystery, since Metra makes a ton of them, but NO one makes one for the GM or G-Body.....

Noting since those pics were posted.....but this week. I've yet to find the install kit to put on the side on the radio......I'm sure I will..... just trim the bottom on the opening ever so slightly...... it'll slide right in.

Yup, stock chip. I'll order the TT 5.7 tomorrow morning. Trouble is that it's a 7 day programming time and shipping. (In Markham)....north of Toronto. Nothing's easy for us Canadians.

I agree......... but they do look slightly different from the stock one......... a little fatter when the thread starts....... VERY frustrating. But as I posted in another thread I just started, it idles ROUGH to the point of stalling when cold ... so I'm thinking it's not the O2......... I...

Gentlemen, So I put the stock o2 sensor back in, but it still runs rough....haven't changed the MAF yet. I'm told that most GN's are like this ?? Once warm, it idles great. Can anyone comment? This can't be the case.... I really need a scanmaster which I hope to find at Carlisle this...

I picked up an AC Delco today and it won't fit either. The stock one threaded in no problem..... Hmmm..... the end of the Bosch and the AC look identical, but slightly different than the stock AC. The one in the car now is slightly tapered..........the other 2, NOPE.

Yup, stock, as far as I know......... perhaps I should swap that out..... I really need a scanmaster......

I found an AC o2 sensor locally....will attempt to install....although now that I know that the Bosch doesn't thread into our downpipes, the AC should fit no problem.

I just called them.........since they're running their own event, they won't be at Carlisle............ perhaps it's worth a drive out! 6 hours from Toronto to Carlisle........what's another 2 hours Saturday morning?
