    E85 and mileage, real world

Have any of you guys switched to E85 on a naturally aspirated car and getting the compression up to 13:1-15:1 or so? As some of the articles tell you that fuel consumption about the same on cars with higher compression rate. One drawback would naturally be that you aren't switching back to...

TCC lockup wiring (converting to th2004r)

I already have an autometer speed sensor hooked up to my speedo wire, I'm a bit concerned about how operational would it be to run 2 hall sensors in a row. I think I have a brake switch on the brake pedal or at least I have one on my cruise control equipped parts cars.

TCC lockup wiring (converting to th2004r)

So I'm hooking up my Malibu to my modified 2004r in the place of worn out and leaking 350. Now I need advice to hook up my TCC lockup. I want to have TCC lockup on fourth gear, at about 45-50 mph. That equals about 1500 rpm. (uh oh, maybe higher final drive?) My KB3 valve body doesn't have...

    th2004r governor springs

That would be cool, I got limiter set up at 6250 just to be on the safe side. Are BR governors easily available aftermarket? I haven't seen one yet, but then again the 3-speed ones are more common here in northern Europe anyway. I grinded a bit more off the smaller weight, flush with the...

    th2004r governor springs

Yellow KC3. I learned from some of the previous discussions that actually the small spring would go to the plastic thingy and big weight and the bigger spring would go to the small weight. So I can safely: *lighten the small weight a bit more *discard the small spring *use the plastic...

    th2004r governor springs

This is my VB, the number is 4203? This is my governor. I believe the big spring on the upper right has been between the governor shaft and the big weight. Both have recesses which matches the spring. Teflon seal on the governor shaft is from the trans rebuild kit.

    th2004r governor springs

I grinded my governor weights a bit, now I have 2 springs, 2 balls and some plastic bits on my desk. The thin spring goes with the plastic bit on the thinner weight and the balls go to the recessed bit on the governor axle, right? WTH is the additional thicker spring for? Between the big weight...

    Forward/direct clutch

Sorry sir, I didn't receive your email. Maybe my spam-blocker killed it. Can you resend or PM me please.

    Trans line pressure readings..

The plug is located on the ECM-connector side, near the bellhousing right over the linkage.

    Forward/direct clutch

My forward clutch was burnt beyond recognition and the direct clutch was ok. There should be 4 lined plates 2.1mm and 3 steels 1.9mm and one or two waved plates 1.5mm and then a backing plate 3.7mm-6.4mm. Then you could buy some alto reds or alto blues, 1.54mm. With normal plates you would...

    Waved discs

Thank you sir. I'll email you my needs later this week.

    Waved discs

My Forward & Lo/Reverse clutches were burned. Reeking of burnt dextron. I threw the whole packs out in disgust and.. well, put 'em i the dumpster. Stupid of me. Then I realised I didn't sort out the waved disks, and I went for the dumpster and yes, the dumptruck had visited us in between. So now...

    tv bracket spring broken

I just bought ATSG's TH2004r-manual and it was not very helpful. Ok, it was maybe worth all the 15 bucks it cost. :) Leaving these out won't break the transmission? That's a relief. Thanks for the info. I'll read the book-related topic.

    tv bracket spring broken

Hi I just found this forum googling around. I found my throttle valve bracket spring broken and pin missing while I was changing oils. There was virtually no metal pieces on oil so the pin must have been removed sometime by the previous owners. He said the tranny was rebuilt in a reputable...
