Yeah, this doesn’t look right. It looks like there is something missing on the dead side. The piece on the original handle came off with a hacksaw but..?
87 GN has the squeak cable noise going on behind the cluster. Eeeek……eeeek….eeeek.
Varies with speed.
Q: Can the cable be unhooked at the transmission and core be pulled out, lubed and slid back in?
I really don’t want to yank the cluster out if I don’t have to. GM plastic breaks like...
The breather stands are welded on the covers. Then the breathers just press in to the top with a grommet.
Nothing appears to be leaking. I opened the hood and all is clean and smoke free.
Thanks for the reply.
Thanks for the reply.
What I should have mentioned is I pulled over and took the breathers out. Then I did another rolling 15 psi pull. Same story.
I’m guessing these block off plates have something to do with it: Gonna have to take them back off, inspect and remove these round deals…
So I had a local shop that I trust remove my stock covers and replace them with the ones pictured. Now my GN smokes like crazy over 15 psi.
My first thought was they took my car out and beat the crap out of it. Nope.
Anyone else have this issue?
These are the new covers:
I have just a little wear on the drivers seat bottom. My thought is to have an upholstery shop swap the bottom cushions and covers from side to side.
Factory interior.
Are they the same?
Thx.
You nailed it. I installed a new AC Delco O2 and the BLM’s are now +\- 5 of 128.
And I was wrong about there being a Delco in there. There was a Denso in there that a TR shop up here in the northeast said they changed out. They didn’t.
I also bought a smoke machine. Found one tiny leak...
