I had a set that came with another gn I had,they where original GM still in the box,I believe kirbans still has original GM fillers.

I used to run 10 30 conventional oil,just swapped to royal purple 10 30 synthetic and have noticed a few drops of oil from the rear main seal is this common when swapping to synthetic oil.

Just replaced my fronts very simple job,just get a buddy to hold the bumper while you adjust it so you don't scuff that nice new shiny paint.

The kick down cable may have come lose at trans,or may have broke if it is not broke you will have to pull the pan and see if it has come loose in the trans,as for the whistle check all the intercooler and up pipe connections for a hole in the rubber couplers.

When you change the carrier you don't mess with your pinion depth so all you have to worry about is your back lash,I set mine at .08,all you need is a magnetic base and a dial indicator,unless you are pulling the pinon out you don't have to worry about contact pattern just your back lash.

Just do it yourself,I did mine in about 3 hours nothing to it,if you don't mind smelling like gear oil for a few days.

I have lucas 42# injectors and turbo tweak chip,very happy and 20mpg on the interstate.
