Idaho gn, 1.6 is not slow. Lighten the car up a bit, maybe soften rear suspension, and fix the tranny.

I run Mobile 424 hi-performance hydraulic tractor fluid ,works great,add 2-3 qrts dexron for color, never had any problems. It's in a red 5 gallon can. dont have the part #.

If its a daily driver, go to a harder compound tire, they will not pick up as much debris,rocks or sand like a soft tire. Sticky tires will destroy and sand blast the well area, or get splash guards.

Goodyear F1-GD3, best i've tried so far out of about 12 sets of tires. I dont like the kumho supras, firestone sz50s, reg. goodyear f-1s wear out too quik, BFG KD's are o.k. Nitto 555s are o.k. on the rear. The F-1 GD3 handles and looks great. d.o.t. Slicks= E.T. streets

got one on 563, a lonnie diers stage 2 extreme automatics 200 w/ deep pan. rear sump, uses 727 tq. flight filter. It's low, but not too bad.
