parts number for precision 120 lbs injectors hi and low impedance?

With the old Direct Scan, we used to see code 42 due to noise. We don't see that with the powerloggers, but its possible. so one check would be to remove the PL temporarily to see if noise is getting in there Noise issues were intermittent, this doesn't sound like that, but it never hurts...

parts number for precision 120 lbs injectors hi and low impedance?

the signals are 5v when the engine is running. A is pulses that time the ignition, B switches to 5v to change the ignition module mode from cranking to run. Code 42 will make the ECM shut them off though. Bob

parts number for precision 120 lbs injectors hi and low impedance?

Code 42 is a connection code for the EST and Bypass wires. they are terminals A and B on the 87 ignition, I think they are the same on the hotair modules also. A bad module ground could cause it also I think, but the most common issue is loose terminal pins on A and B, after that its...

parts number for precision 120 lbs injectors hi and low impedance?

are you getting spark? The ccci connector that plugs into the ignition module is known for the pins getting weak with age, check to see if any are not gripping well (there is a spare pin included with the TR6 for doing this) Bob

    PowerLogger 2.0 questions...

Hi, Check the ECM harness header for water damage and corrosion. The car will run fine without the PowerLogger, its just a data-gatherer in most cases (the SD2 chip is the exception) The PowerLogger may need an update if its older (black PCB), otherwise Windows gets cranky about unsigned...

    Cam sensor timing

The answer depends on how the tune in the ECM is set up. Most aftermarket ECU's can be configured for almost any alignment of the cam sensor. The Vendor/Tuner/Support people should be able to tell you. However, it seems likely that any "base tune file" would have been developed on a "stock...

    Scanmaster quit working

Other than checking the connections, there is a setting in the PowerLogger that changes the datastream mode. Thats what I would check first.

    Scanmaster G Problems

the PL does not change its own settings, so its more likely a connection issue. the powerlogger is installed into the bottom of the ECM, there is a beige cable that leads to a terminal block, the Scanmaster connects there. make sure everything is plugged in properly, post pics if you like...
