I have that GM kit installed- and I recall the lift being like “120lbs of leverage support”. You can’t compress them by hand as you noted… man, they’ve got to be too much for the ‘glass lid. Rigging up a slimmer, more modern strut, with the right amount of lift support, has got to be a better...

It’s about that time! I’m planning to hit this event and fly over from Hawaii. The GN won’t be making the trip but my son and I plan too! Let’s see what goodies we can stuff in our luggage for the return trip. Lol.

Black GN headed up Ft Weaver towards Kunia about 0800 yesterday morning. I was in my bright yellow MR2 and got a glance as I took the on-ramp. Looked clean, sounded nice!
