Any other female Buick owners on here?

Joey when I am seeing you?
You keep asking questions like that, and I'm sure some of the other board members are going to come to some wildly imaginative conclusions about us.;)

I don't do winter well. Although this winter has allowed me to get some stuff done on the Buick a bit. Still, there is a lot more to do. As soon as the spring weather is upon us, I will be out and about. I'm on a tight schedule for Richard Clark's event in May. I'll give ya the heads-up on everything. But I don't need an event to hang with friends. Just a nice day when I feel like going for a ride.

hahaha oh god.... If they only knew, lol.

Yeah winter is tough but for the first time in 5 years I will have my summers back, changed jobs and BOOM, I'm BACKKKKKKK!!!!!!! I'm definitely putting some cruises together, have things in the works, you know you will be included I know you'll take that Buick out and pack the girls up and go, lol.

You, doing more stuff to the Buick? You don't say? :ROFLMAO: On President's Day I am fixing my stupid exhaust hanger but I'm also putting in a GNX dash I scored  That's probably it depending on tax returns, I'm broke, lol.

I've been around Buicks 20+ years. My husband Bill and I own a 1986 Grand National with around 13,000 original miles and original paint. I have many test and tune passes under my belt but my first official race was at the 2015 GS Nationals where I placed first in TSA. I don't do a lot of major wrenching but also not afraid to get my hands dirty assisting Bill in engine builds. I have countless hours in cleaning and polishing to keep Thumper spotless. She's won us 5 Gold Concours plaques at the GS Nationals and several local show awards. So to answer your original question, yes there are a few of us out there.
Missy

Thanks! I live about an hour out of Louisville KY. Very close to the Fort Knox area so Bowling Green is practically in our backyard. We have an 1/8 mile track about 15 min from us and another 30 min away that I use for test and tune.

Great thread.
My daughter Hailey is now 22 and a full time student. She's been driving my GN since she was 16 and made here first pass down the drag strip when she turned 18.
I get her out in the garage whenever I can. She's been helping me here and there since she was about ten. Sometimes when she's having a bad day, we'll go for a drive in my ten second GN. Seeing the look on here face change from sad to a "Turbo smile", as I call, it is priceless. I am proud to say that the girl can drive. She has acquired driving and reaction skills that most guys her age don't have.

Joey,
Am I finally going to get to see that car at Richard Clark's show?
I'll be there, along with the Mrs. Spoolfool.:)

Happy spooling

Thank you! We are pretty proud of her. If you ever make it to the GS Nationals, look us up. We are there every year. I have always wanted to go to New York to visit. Maybe one day.....

Mike that's great! Love hearing that.

Missy due to work, I would probably not make it to the Nationals anytime soon... But if I ever did I sure would post about it lol. Hell if I make even a few track events in NJ this year I'll be happy lol

I'm one ugly dude. And even I get a lot of looks in a Turbo Regal! For a woman......Yup, for sure.

My wife loves the car , just got my first one back in sept , and just got the wife back in may , she is still amazed at all the looks we get and Im no Brad Pitt but not a brown paper bagger either . Its funny , the bout 40 age and above know exactly what it is , and when the younger guys catch up at the next red light they are like " what the hell "

Well Keith, at least you get to rep the TB community well down in North Mississippi  I do get a lot of chatter on the road when I am driving... And it usually goes like this - "Hey Nice car" - "Love the car" followed IMMEDIATELY up with - "This is YOUR car?" lol... Never fails, but hey, I get enjoyment out of a stunned face. I have to remind myself my good looks aren't getting me noticed it's the car, lol jk

I find my GN has gotten more attention since the one Fast and Furious used a GN in the movie... Now it's - "That's the car from fast and Furious".... Otherwise people with knew what it was or, the worse one yet, thought it was a Monte Carlo

or, the worse one yet, thought it was a Monte Carlo

Every time I drive it. Even this weekend while I was working on it. Someone came over and said "That's a nice Monte."

I started to twitch and tremble. But I maintained my composure and pointed out their mistake.

Hey Guys and Gals , When I here Monte , I just smile and say , Watch " Black Air " go do homework for bout a month then come see me and we will talk .

hahaha...... I don't get upset, I just say what it is and if they need to know what the difference is I explain. Honestly, I find that when it comes to G-Bodies, any G-Body, a lot of people are confused or do not have much knowledge on them and the differences.

You know what upsets me? When guys tell me to yank my V6 Turbo out and put a real motor in it. Like the motor is junk or something.
