Cam sensor pulse moved would that mean that the bolt is loose ? or is there another reason why I would get that code ?thanks in advance .

bad cam sensor, or connection.

how often do you get the code?

Bob

yeah Bob I get the code when I get on it But Driving around normal car runs good no code just when stop it .Event after I get the code before I turn the car off car is still running fine code disappears when turn the car off and back on

Timing chain could be worn , that would change your CS setting some to maybe trigger that code , just a SWAQ

I was getting this one quite often during cranking. Replaced the cam sensor with a brand new one and set it up with a Caspers tool and it took care of the problem.

I do have a couple of extra sensors gonna keep an eye on it see if it keeps doing it it happened one time when I got on it got on it yesterday but it didn't happen least I know what it is and the fix. That tr6 is nice saves a lot of time trouble shooting thanks Bob . Turbotdr3.8 the motor does have about 100.000 on it that's possible that the chain my need to be replaced is there a way to Verify that ? Beat a v8 thanks for your reply also.

Tr6 is amazing on its diagnostic things it can do , I have the Tr6 in both of my cars , like Mastercard never leave home with out it .

On your timing chain to verify if it is worn , take your CS cap off and watch the camsensor and turn your engine back and forth and see how far you have to move your crankshaft back and forth to see your sensor go to stop and start moving . This will let you know how much your chain is worn

so went to replace my cam sensor and noticed that when i was lining up the zero degrease on the timing tab and noticed that i could move the crank a hole decrease before the cam sensor cought and started moving so i think that TURBOTDR3.8 was right my timing chain is stretched .would that be correct ?so i guess i will be pulling my front cover off .what would be a good replacement ?

it sounds like there is some slack there. I used the TA billet stock-style chain in my engine.

ok thanks gonna go to my tepee and get deep in my thoughts as I get in touch with the spirit world and pass the peace pipe to my self and sore with the eagles for a bit then dive down to that black beauty and tear the front off shit .sorry got away with my thoughts .thanks guys .

Well got all the parts tensioner napa #9-5158 timing chain set ntp 20-3018 cam button w spring #9-5189 .but went and ordered the TA billet stock style silent gear .gonna take back the napa after I look at them side by side . So I can still use the tensioner and button right ? Here are some pics so far .the down pipe seems to be leaking see the last pic .

Why is there no oil on any of those parts? The slinger is even dry, and the cam button looks like it's been grinding dry.

Don't no haven't drove it for about 2weeks waiting on parts oil pressure was 60 cold and and 40 hot .maybe the 2weeks sitting .but gonna take a good look .what should I look at .thanks the Ta chain should be in today .so gonna work on it
