Just wandering if you have a crack on the top in the seam? I have fix this on two cars easily.
I used carpenters glue with some painters tape. First tape the seam between pad and upper dash.Second get something heavy to put on the dash to close up gap. third get some wet paper towels to clean up glue.Fourth fill tear up with glue. This may take 3 or4 times over couple of days .Fifth when the dash stops sucking the glue up, take some grey interior paint and tint the glue that fills the gap. Then clean up the glue, it almost becomes invisible. Make sure you clean up glue after you fill each time or it will dry up in the fake stitching.
