Radio Replacment Choice

I hadn't heard back from him today but I had positive experience with my radio. Mint factory radio with everything new internally and iPod jack. You can't beat it. Mine has csII and I went with kenwood 4x10 rear, kenwood 5 1/2 door ( I think ) and kenwood 1" tweeters in the dash. Gary on this board said with this setup I didn't have to worry about the ohms issue on newer speakers. It sounds great and looks great. Let me know how your radio turns out.

If you want your radio refurbished this is the guy to talk to. His name is Anthony Barlos. He fixed mine and added iPod aux jack out the back. Email him to get his contact info. I told him I wouldn't just put his phone number out there for everyone. He did an excellent job on mine and had a fast turn around time.

Thanks again for the lead. Just got my radio back from Tony and now its back in perfect working order.

Awesome. I'm glad it worked out. Was the price still reasonable?
Very reasonable. Besides fixing the problem I reported to him he inspected the rest of the radio, replaced the belt, burnt out lamps, checked out the sound board, etc. and in the end charged me less than his original quote. He even mailed back the defective parts he replaced.

Yes he did although I have not plugged anything into it yet.

This one looks great guys:

I'm going to buy it. Previous owner already had a single din aftermarket CD player with aux. I found this one and like it because of the red to match the Scanmaster, and the built in Bluetooth!!

I have tried avoiding replacing my concert series radio but now cassettes will not eject. Any ideas or is it time to get a new radio and send this one out for repair?

Hey Eagleguy, did you know that they came out with something recently (around 1980-81) called the "cd"? For real, and it actually sounds better than cassettes!

HaHa, Truth be told I was really trying to use a bunch of custom mix tapes my old partner made me back in the day. Guess I will have to put them on CD. Just ordered a new set up from Crutchfield. Once the install is done I will send my OEM radio out for repair. I also found a cool install kit on ebay that has a slot to hold CD's under it instead of having the dead space like on the regular install kits many use..

Wonder how hard the install is using the Crutchfield kit.
