I've been trying to decide what hydroboost kit to buy. I'm looking at tallon's kit and kirban's kits. Any thoughts on either kit. Should I go with the hydroboost or just buy a reman pm unit? Does the hydroboost system make power steering pump make noise? Any info or input from personal experience will help.

Thanks
Jared

Kirban sells 2 different systems. The Hydratech is the best available. All new blueprinted parts. Fantastic quality. Also, the most expensive.
Regarding the pump, you can have your pump rebuilt and calibrated to work better with the hydro boost.

I talked to Hydratech and Tallon. Decided on Tallon with no regrets. Had an aluminum pump built by Turn One to support the hydro. Lee Steering is also back in business rebuilding pumps.

How much does it cost to get your pump rebuilt? Will my stock one work but make noise?

I'm using the stock 160k pump. It groans a bit on the cold mornings but I've had cars that did that without the hydroboost.

$350 for a new aluminum pump with -6 AN fittings from Turn One.

$150 for a stock cast rebuilt/modded with AN fittings from Lee.

Both are great companies to deal with.

I didnt look at any other kit but Tallon. Not that the others were bad, but i just liked the price. Kit is great. Installed it myself with minimum effort except line hook up...i was just confusing myself is all it was. I can tell you ive called them on a Sat AND Sunday, and they actually answered back! Within 20 mins...customer service says alot here. I went with a stock, reman Cardone pump...had whine at 1st, but after i bled it out its spot on. I also changed the reservoir as well. I went with the PSC version for our cars...the setup looks slick and im happy. It was actually very easy to install along with some great advice and instruction from a few great members on here. Bottom line, i love hydroboost.
