    Almost back together

    Buick has been down for a while and I'm almost there. Ordered the fuel pump yesturday so hopefully it will be all together when it gets here. Spun a rod and while the motor was out I decided to do some detail on the engine bay and change the heater core. This is how it's turned out so far.

    Cam Bearing Depth

    Got my block back from the machine shop and wasn't sure if the front cam bearing is in deep enough. The passenger side looks fine, but I'm not sure about the driver side. Should I take it back and have them drive it in a little more?

    If the block doesn't need to be line bored, is it worth the extra money to install steel caps? Do the stock caps crack? I don't recall ever seeing someone mention a broken main cap. Looking for 11.0's.

    Stutters between 2000 and 2500 till warmed up

    Tip In Stumble

    Sometimes (a lot) accelerating normally from a stop, the car will stumble. One thing I noticed, when it does stumble my vacuum reading jumps to almost zero. When it does recover, the vacuum goes back to around 8 inches then moves steadily towards zero like it does when it takes off normally...

    Cracked Piston

    I'm putting my engine back together and found a cracked piston. Would this crack cause a light knock. The knock sounded like the knock the GM pickups make when you first crank them up. I haven't found anything else in the engine. Does anyone have a stock turbo piston they would like to sell?
