I have the following: GN1 14 bolt heads, scorpion roller rockers, gm stock lifters,
Erson 214/214 flat tappet cam.
What should the pushrods lengths be. I was told the stock ones might be too long.
Any info would be appreciated thanks.
check your boost guage, you might have more than 18 psi boost. You may have a small leak in boost line. So you may be actually running 25 psi and showing 18 psi. Just a thought.
Another thing that may cause backfire is the module. This is underneath the coil pack. This happened to my brother, he replaced and no more backfire. Hope this helps.
Also check your spark plug wires, you may have a cable loose. So when you're normal driving is fine, but when you get into high boost it will back fire. This is what happened to me a few weeks ago. Hope this helps.
I had the same problem about 8 years ago. It wouldn't shift into 4th at wot unless I let go the throttle. We checked out the pressure in 3-4th gear and was low. Changed the pump and it solved the problem.
