    gbodyparts avoid at all costs

Brian recently sent me the O ring for the aftermarket thermostat housing for free. It's made by Metco. That damn O ring was not available at any of the parts stores. Just thought I would mention it. As others have said, always use a credit card or Pay Pal.

‘87 GN.. Are the front seat buns and covers symmetrical?

I would guess they are symmetrical but when my driver seat became uncomfortable I slipped in a thin layer of foam from Joanne Fabrics. Not a hard job. You will need a hog ring pliers and maybe some new hog rings.

    Engine Cranks no Start

Pretty car! Try unplugging the MAF and see if that helps. Is it the original MAF or do you have a translator?

    Cold Case Radiator Top Plate

Here's an update. I jiggled the radiator, picked it up and put it back down. For some reason I was able to bolt down the top plate now. The radiator doesn't fit flush to the top plate like the stock one but it works. The top plate meets the radiator, if that makes sense. The fans still don't...

    Cold Case Radiator Top Plate

I realize this thread is 2 years old. Went to install my CC radiator today. Huge pita! The damn thing is too tall and too thick. Removed rubber bushings under and over the radiator. It's still too tall. Can't bolt down top plate. There is also no room on bottom plate to slip the dual spal fans...

    Stalling issue, no restart

I always know when it's time to change the fuel filter. Gas mileage drops off big time. I just installed my crank sensor on my motor with motor on engine stand. I use a feeler gauge. .020" clearance. Its still a 2 person job!

Ton of buick parts, want to sell ALL local or meet, don't want to hassle with shipping

A usable block is around $700. I think a sleave is around $400 (I could be wrong) so the block isn't worth much. Unported stock heads are maybe $300/pair.

Finally got the engine out, what's recommended?

If you install a double roller chain, don't use a tensioner.

    Stalling issue, no restart

Sounds like the crank sensor. My car did the same thing....until I changed it.

Thanks. I went ahead and bought ARP bolts from Summit.

    ARP intake bolts

I bought nice chrome bolts from the hardware store. They thread in nicely without the valley pan gasket in the way. Problem is, the gasket isn't a precision fit and overlaps the holes a tiny bit. This seems to prevent the bolts from lining up properly. Anybody know if tapered bolts are...

Has anyone dealt with Turbo 6 performance?

Sounds like the same guy selling on eBay from Boyton Beach, Fla. Then someone from the same town posted questions about a GN on Facebook. I asked if he knew the guy from his town selling gn parts on ebay but he didn't reply. Seemed like something was fishy.

How to install a DW 300 fuel pump and achieve proper fuel pressure

The Racetronix bulkhead is an upgrade over stock. I had 2 factory ones fail. The Racetronix one is still going strong. Iirc the metal tabs where the wires connect on to are heavier duty.

    Intake manifold install

One more question...does anybody run the silicon along the sides of the intake manifold or is that just over kill?

    Intake manifold install

Getting ready to install Felpro intake manifold gasket. I looked at Permatex website and they say the grey formulation of The Right Stuff is recommended for intake manifolds. I'm sure black works too. Anybody use the grey stuff? The felpro Valley pan gasket actually comes with a little tube of...
