When I set the meter to the 2k ohm setting it just shows a 1 for being beyond the limit. It is a fluke meter that I paid about $100, so I don't know if it's good enough or not.

Let me clarify on the ohm readings. To get a reading my meter must be set to 20k ohms. The readout I get is 9.5 to 9.7

I have two different guages and tried both. I tested at WOT. Thanks for the tips. I'll try the loosening the rocker idea too.

I like the idea of checking the injectors. The timing chain is not stock and as a reminder the car has only about 1,500 miles since the rebuild. No cat on the car. No egr either. The coil pack ohmed at 9500 to 9700 instead of 11000 to 13000, so I don't know if that's good or bad.
