I might have a chance to pick up an NOS GN Shortblock....what's it worth now....since it's from GM..it should have all the GM goodies like the crank and such....anyone ever get a chance to see one of these?

what kind of lock? I have the steadfast column lock, goes on over the steering column and the left side shift bowl to prevent anyone from stealing the car...I can send u a picture of it installed in my caddy....it's brand new...know what kind I am talking about? al

check those wires...i've been there...

the wires run down by the alt,power steering area...it's the only wire that travels down to the crank sensor on that side...

I tee'd mine at the turbo fitting on top under the cover

check the 3 wires running down the side of the block to the crank sensor, u might have to slice open the black tape to do so, check the insulation on each wire for softness..close to the sensor,then black tape each wire seperately and plug it back into the sensor try again...

Ok, since no one had a clue..i will tell you what I found to those that might ever have a problem like this..first, the new tps was bad, that solved that problem....the hiccup problem was traced to the 3 wires going down to the crankshaft sensor...i cut open the harness and found 2 of the wire...

my gn hiccups at just above idle when accelerating, like a engine miss only at that same flat spot, no check engine light, but when I replaced the tps sensor and went to adjust it, i notice several things wrong, i could not get the tps down passed 1.14 even with the adjustment all the way down...

you know what...you are right...I thought i would need the oil cooler adapter that was stock to direct the oil to the radiator...but i can hook up one cooler line from the transdapt to the remote filter then out the filter to the cooler then cooler back to the transdapt....that should work...i...

I found my NOS relay...not sure what to do with it, it would be best for a real grand national then my caddy hybird....it goes on e-bay tonight...

ok, thanks, I just did that, now I need to check to see where those 6 wires went,since my car is a hybird 82 coupe deville....I wired this back in like 1993.....hope it doesn't hurt anything else...

mine just did...do I unplug both ends?
