Have you logged the AFR when you are doing all of this? That will be the easiest way to tell.
But as the throttle is closing from where it was during the burnout less air is getting into the engine. Then it cant burn all of the fuel off and it stalls.
My guess is it is loading up on fuel during the burnout and when you let off the gas and it stalls out when the throttle closes.
The KR could be false knock from exhaust etc moving around
There is not much difference between the two. Especially if it is a street car and occasional track. If you have a legit good deal on a 206 I would just get that.
I would think you are at least a year out from getting a new build done. I am going on a year and a half. And I had 90% of the parts on hand.

I never had an issue with an issue with a knock sensor. But I know plenty of people that have. They had deep 9 second cars. So they tuned with other methods and had their engines live a long time.
