New GM LSX-based V6 due in 2012!
I wasn't sure where to put this. I think this is more than just a rumour. It is to be called LV3. It will definitely have aluminum heads, and likely cast iron block. I'd love to see a 60° V, but it will likely be 90° with a balance shaft. I'm guessing it will have 280+ hp and 275 lb-ft... -

Better than Stage II
has anyone used the chevy 90° v6 for a turbo project? it has 18° valves, 2.15" x 1.625", 215 cc ports. ryan falconer successfully used a 3.4L version in the corvette gtp - a 1200 hp endurance racer. it was the highest specific output engine of its time. it's cheaper to build than stage 2...- cstavro

How do you read turbine maps??
i've learned how to read compressor maps...calculate volumetric flow for your engine, then plot it at a specific pressure ratio. (it actually follows a curve). what about turbine maps? how do i chose an a/r for my app? can i predict where boost will start, or full boost comes on?- cstavro

GM needs a new V6
The general idea is an LS based V6, sharing 75% of its parts with the V8. Cast iron block engines would weigh 370 lb, and all aluminum versions come in under 300 lb. Turbo for a Series II motor??
i have a 1999 buick regal gs. 240 hp supercharged stock. my goal is 500 whp with turbo (no s/c). i will be porting the heads and installing a 206/206 112° cam. buicks make tons of torque down low, but hit a brick wall too early. one tuner has a turbo kit that makes 438 wtq, and 296 whp at 3500...- cstavro
