I've had Taylor ThunderVolt wires on for years with good results and no wire / boot separation issues . Get yourself sparkplug boot pliers & also MSD spark guard dielectric grease to keep the boots from sticking ...

I put a Denny's 3" nitrous ready in my car .

I just got my compressor housing back from polishing and got it mounted on the car. Now off to change boost control from the Turbo Smart controller to having the Holley control boost. Adding a second solenoid and a CAN bus module for additional inputs and outputs.

We always used Newark in the Electronics Lab at GM , so I go there first when checking for components but amazon works !!

It would be a good idea to swap that old chip out with a modern Turbo Tweak chip , your car will run much better because the old chips were burned for the fuel of 1987 , plus had different timing .

The only other turbo I've had on this motor for a short time was a Turbonetics 6465 .63 AR . It spooled pretty fast but it had high back pressure and was out of breath . The graph is from the Comp CTR 6771 which spools instantly . As soon as the weather clears I'll get a chance to try out this...

The darker blue vertical line is boost & peaked at 32psi . The red line is TPS . This was at a 30-40mph roll then going quickly to full throttle but the car went sideways at 63% throttle and I got out of it . At that point the motor made 920hp .

^^^ Also if your motor is the same as in your signature , those 80's would probably be plenty . Just keep an eye on duty cycle at WOT , if you're under 85% you are ok .
