Hey folks. I believe I'm going to have to replace my fuel level float and sender. I just don't trust my fuel guage as it seems way too inaccurate. Any specific brands or vendors that you recommend or that I should stay away from? Johnnie

Actual (vs advertised) HP of a completely stock '87 TB

Has anyone ever dyno'd a bone stock '87 TB? I know it's advertised as 245 hp, but it sure runs like a heluva lot more. I want to get the facts before I put the numbers on my info sheet for this season's car shows. My '66 SS 396 Chevelle had approximately 375 hp when I finished the motor build...

    GN at Barrett Jackson

saw lot 555.1 a 1987 stock "unmolested " 35,600 mile GN sell for $28.6k at Barrret Jackson earlier this week. I was encouraged as mine is almost identical in quality and am planning on selling later this year. I know that auction prices don't often reflect what "free market" prices are, but...

What is the best way to keep my 750 cc 4 stroke bike motor healthy over the winter besides changing the oil and filter and putting the battery on a maintainer? I plan on draining the gas tank, or should I just use stabil? Anything else recommended?

For all of us motorcycle riders

Nothing to do with TB's, just a story. Got a worthwhile education this past weekend. Fifteen years ago, I accidentally let my drivers license expire ( duh ). I lost my motorcycle endorsement, so I gave up riding for a while limiting my rides to just on the airport to and from my hangar and...

    Any motorcycle mechanics out there?.

Here's my question. I have a '78 GS 750 E that I have been " refurbishing" over the last year or so. Bought it new, never been wrecked / down and has been fairly well taken care of. Well, my chain would go alternately tight-loose when the back wheel was rotated. With 22k sometimes hard miles...

    Knock sensor gauge?

Would a knock sensor gauge be necessary for a bone stock GN (with Eric's 5.7 chip ) that is also going to be utilizing the scanmaster gauge , or just overkill? Reason is I would like some easily read real-time data. No plans on racing it, just occasionally stepping into it a bit. I also use...

Didn't know if I should post this in the GNX forum or this one. Feel free to move it if necessary. But I have a question about the McClaren ( tin man type ) back seat brace. How did McClaren install it? I know it was welded, but how? Was it plug welded or spot welded? I really don't want to...
