Mine came with a 3.1. I used an engine harness from a 98-99 z34 monte or ltz lumina. I had to make a custom axle for passenger side because the HD trans never came in them cars, custom ac line, custom 3" downpipe which was a challenge, the engine is very tight to firewall in these cars...

I got my tune dialed in for E85 from ZZP, along with their cam that has a modified fuel pump lobe. 0-60 in 6.1 seconds. It's hard to get a good launch, but from a 30 mph roll it pulls hard. I think a s/c 3800 would get me off the line but after that, I'd pull away.

Awesome! Who built your trans? I'd like to rebuild mine but can't justify 4k on a built one. If you're still in the area, Empire isn't that far from me. Do you have any more 1" chains :)

I don't have an answer for you but if you find out more info on this I would interested. I am trying to mate either a NA or SC to a manual non GM trans and I am working with a camaro flywheel.

Nice, I really like them wheels. These cars are way underrated. They ride like a BMW, quiet and smooth. And they pull pretty good for a 4 cylinder.

I couldn't find the one mounted to antenna, so I made one. I disassembled the antenna and carefully welded it.

I was in the process of changing the diff lube and found a chipped ring gear tooth. I've ordered the gears, does anyone know the bearing part numbers for the pinion and carrier? Or who sells a quality rebuild kit?. Timkin lists bearings for the 7.5 but not much for the 8.5. thanks

After the limited slip install, the best 0-60 I could pull off is 6.4 sec. It was around 20 degrees outside. First gear is so tall, it's hard to launch without melting the clutch. The f40 transmission is very compact, the install wasn't too bad. This is my only experience with a fwd limited...
