Thread update:
I wanted to post this for other members since the site troubles.

lewisd and I, along with help from other board members came up with a solution for adapting the ‘86-87 exhaust on the ‘84-85 hot air cars.

lewisd is the draftsman and I am the craftsman. Lol

I live in california and I did something similar to hotairwh1 I reworked my cat and dump pipe to fit the exhaust flanges in the car so I can swap out as needed for smog , if u weld your good , or find a welder and do your custom work , or pay extra to have them do what u need
 
Just want to chime in, I got one of these test pipes from 1986BuickGX1 . Fit and finish was amazing. If you are still in need of one get one from him.
