Another Question from the Novice section

Gentlemen,
I'm computer literate but a turbo buick green horn, which of these scantool devices would be best for a rookie with an 87 GN, slightly modified?

I use a scanmaster 2, the most basic with no data recording except highest knock and leanest fuel condition (O2 mv) at wide open throttle (WOT), and will display at what mph these readings were recorded. It records many sensor values, what the ecm reads, but you can only see one sensor value reading at a time. The other scan tools such as turbo-link and direct scan have data recording and use a laptop to record and store info.
