Anybody know what this wire is for

Found this black wire on driver side near the relays right by the washer reservoir

Every TR Buick has a un-know wire some where, if your lucky you never find it. However looks like your an un- lucky one

And it should have this plug on it. It caused my battery to die when my light didn't turn off. Didn't notice until I was in the garage with the lights off.

The light assembly itself is a mercury switched setup. One in the trunk is as well. So if you you just hook up any ol' light without some kind on interrupt, it will leach your battery.

It looks like it comes from the after market fuse holder on fender.
