I have been trying to figure out why I can't build more than about 10 lbs. of boost before it backfires/sputters through the intake and looses pressure. It doesn't throw any codes either–all parameters look good. When I did the E85 conversion and turned up the boost, the car ran great the first handful of times I put my foot into it. Now it falls on its face when I get on it. It has a relatively new coil pack, wires, and ignition module. The plugs are new as well; I took a couple off to inspect and they look normal. Eventually I want to switch to the TR6 set up but I don't want to keep throwing money at the problem. Perhaps I need hotter plugs for E85? I've heard these cars eat up coil packs and ignition modules. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
