Hey guys,

I have been having heater/ac fan problems. When I first got the car the blower worked intermittently and eventually died.

I got a new high speed resister but this did not fix it. I checked the high speed connector on the passanger side the the plugs are fine and the red wire is always hot.

I jumped this wire straight to the fan (purple) and the fan works.

So it seems the red wire goes in hot to the high speed resister but then doesn't go anywhere after that.

Any idea's? new resister that is bad?

Thanks.

If you replaced resistor, checked the connector on the red wire, verified motor is good and still have no speeds, I would go for the selector switch on the heater/ac control.

Ok, found the power to the switch, i think, the prongs were messed up and now my fan works. But the vents don't blow air, just out on the floor?

EDIT:

I figured it out, broken vacuum line.
