Car wants to die at stop lights

Car will idle fine when idling in park, sometimes it will idle really low for about 15 seconds to where it sounds as if it is going to shut off, then idles right back up to normal. My main problem is when I put the car in gear. It will drive like normal, but when I stop while still in gear (like at a stoplight) it will idle really low and then die.

Does anyone know what this might be from? Thanks.

Hard to say without a bit more information. Could be anything from a massive vacuum leak, fuel pressure regulator, chip issue, etc. Please update your signature with your mods. Do you have a Scanmaster?

I second the vacuum leak diagnosis. Common as old as these cars are getting and easy to look for and fix.

Ok I updated my signature. I want to say that it is a vacuum leak but I have not checked yet. I do not have a scan master but I am going to get a powerlogger soon to start tuning it.
