Does everybody else leave there laptop hookup out?

Just wondering if i should cover mine since i usually dont have a laptop in the car with me all the time and the printer cable end is just sitting on the floor.

Mine sits on the floor right next to the ECM.

They prolly make plastic or rubberlike covers that go over the end of the cable which would protect the pins.

Ken M. once mentioned in a post that there is some fine circuitry in the TLink cabeling and should be stored at room temperature along with the laptop.

I always bring my laptop and cables inside, I don't know if this has any relevance to DS or not.

We have left ours plugged in for the last 4 years, no bad things to report. We hide it between the console and the passagner seat.
