Well folks, it's that time of year! I am once again participating in the American Cancer Society's Bike-a-Thon, riding my road bicycle 100 miles from the Ben Franklin Bridge to May's Landing, NJ. I have been very active in supporting the ACS since my sister and father were diagnosed within a week of each other 8 years ago. Luckily, both were discovered early and beat the disease. My dad has ridden this with me for the past 7 years, I feel very lucky to be able to say that! This year my thoughts will be with a coworker of mine who left work 2 weeks ago with an untreatable advanced tumor that has metastasized to his liver.
