Gas tanks

What gas tanks on other models are physically the same as our cars, I'm looking to modify one for a external pump possibly in the future, so I want to practice on another tank not my original.

The TR gas tank is unique to the TR. Now a very close second choice is the tank from an 85-88 MC with the FI 4.3 V-6. All G-body tanks with the exception of the wagon and ElCamino interchange so if you dont need one with the internal baffle those will also work.

The necks are slightly different between the G-Bodies.

Okay. The model split for the diesel an NA tanks are Regal and Cutlass use the same tank. Monte and Grand Prix use the same tank. The only difference is the angle at the gas cap end of the filler tube. About a 1/8"-1/4" difference. They will interchange, Use a cap with raised center bar and you wont skin your knuckles.

Eric, any other models out there that use the same fuel pump hangar assembly??

Fuel pump hanger was TR only. I dont know how different it was from the MC 4.3FI.
